How to get there from Alto Hotel on Bourke
Docklands starts on Spencer St. which is only 2 minutes walk from Alto Hotel on Bourke; walk right into Bourke St., towards Spencer St., cross Spencer and take the escalators to the Bourke Street Footbridge, and you are in Docklands! Follow the footbridge and within a further minute you will be at Marvel Stadium, walk around the stadium and you will be on Harbour Esplanade, enjoy the sculptures, the fabulous yachts, and the clean sea air. Keep walking just another minute or two and you will be on New Quay, choose from any of the many restaurants or just enjoy an ice-cream from the unique cone shaped gelateria.
From the hotel, walk right into Bourke St and walk about 40 meters to the Tram Stop on Bourke St. Catch Tram No. 86, it will come every 8 minutes during the week and every 12 minutes on week ends.
Taxis from Alto Hotel to Docklands should cost around $8 and take 4 to 5 minutes, but allow at least double that time if travelling in peak time.
